Kids Under 12 are Free on Friday

Tres Pinos, CA – Hey kids… come on down to the San Benito County Fair today!

Children under 12 can get into the Fair for free all-day Friday, September 30th.

And, before the gates even opened today, nearly 1,000 students from 14 local schools came to the fairgrounds for Education Day (also known as School Tours).

“The event is an opportunity to bring the Fair to the community and to kids who might not otherwise be able to attend,” says Fair Board President, Nicole Shelton.

Passport stations were set up throughout the fairgrounds. Students went from station to station, getting their passport stamped. Each stop was a chance to learn about something new, like Agriculture and Beef Cattle Judging. Kids were also treated to performances by Twinkle Time and the Magical Comedy of Alan Sands. And, they could have their face painted. We want to thank Wafelbakker Anderson Orthodontics for sponsoring School Tours.

The fun doesn’t have to end today, students who participated in Education Day received a free pass to come back to the Fair Saturday or Sunday.

This is the Fair’s 99th year. It’s a celebration of our unique community and it relies heavily on dedicated volunteers to make it happen. It’s how you know– Love is in The Fair!
